The Long Way Around
My career path looks like it belongs to someone who couldn't decide what to do when they grew up. Construction sites led to a master's degree in marriage and family counseling, which somehow opened the door to workforce development at a community college. From there, I moved into state government, then higher education administration, and eventually to building skills-to-jobs initiatives at Amazon Web Services.
How do the dots connect? I've always been drawn to the spaces where education meets industry, where policy creates possibility, and where the right partnership can unlock opportunity for the people that need it most. I don't just see workforce ecosystems… I've built them from multiple vantage points, and I understand how the pieces fit together.
Why Ruedt Strategies?
Many consulting firms specialize in one slice of the workforce puzzle. I bring something different: a cross-sector fluency born from years of working inside education institutions, state agencies, and Fortune 500 companies. Ruedt Strategies exists because the most interesting challenges don't fit neatly into any single lane. I work with foundations, workforce development agencies, higher education leaders, and industry coalitions who need someone who speaks all the languages and sees the whole system. If your work sits at the intersection of skills, pathways, and economic opportunity, we should talk.
